For homeowners & contractors
As a rule of thumb providing as much information about your project will get the most accurate results. Follow these guidelines:
Exterior projects

For roofing, siding, trim replacement, window replacement, door replacement, painting, or modifications to the structure, provide pictures of each side of the house. Make sure the entire side of the house is visible including the roof. Include close up pictures of any damage or relevant trim work. Measure the relevant item. If you're unable to provide measurements we're able to determine them from the satellite image at the referenced address.

Interior projects

For flooring, trim work, kitchen repair, bathroom repair, painting, drywall repair, and interior modifications, provide as many pictures as possible from all sides of the room. Measure the dimensions of the room and the height of the ceiling. If the room is irregular provide measurements of each segment of the room. Example: A living room with an attached hallway. Measure the living room dimensions and the hallway dimensions.
Additions & new construction

Provide building plans if available with any input regarding customized preferences. For additions and alterations without building plans take as many pictures of the part of your home you intend to expand, including the area of land the addition will occupy. Provide dimensions, preferences, and expectations.
